GoodGood Sidekick is a walking, talking, game system developed by YES! inc. with a focus on family togetherness. Featuring their original character, GoodGood Sidekick is the culmination of years of story, character, animation, and technological development. He first appeared in the With Love app, where kids would exchange stories with animated characters and practice social-emotional communication skills. The app was an early step toward Sidekick: a way to develop the technology, character, and story until GoodGood was ready to step out of the screen entirely.
The YES! team is based in Michigan and met during the development of With Love, motivated by the idea of using technology to improve human connection. Now, having brought their technology into physical form, the team has fully realized their vision, turning physical spaces into a shared place for play. In developing GoodGood Sidekick, YES! has assembled an advisory team of industry leaders across the media and entertainment industry, including former Pixar Director Dan Scanlon (Monsters University, Onward), former Pixar Producer Galyn Sysman (Ratatouille, Toy Story 4, Lightyear), entertainment executive Geneva Wasserman, former Sesame Workshop VP Miles Ludwig, and Michigan State University professor Dr. Fashina Aladé, who is a leading researcher on young children's learning from media.
Safety and privacy are vital to our creative process, and GoodGood Sidekick has been designed with family safety in mind. Every story, animation, and game is hand-made, never generated, with fun, child safety, and empathy skill-building in mind. While AI is used to connect countless lines of dialogue and story details into personal responses, nothing else is generated. In addition, GoodGood Sidekick is built to play offline, without an internet connection, meaning no personal data ever leaves your home. Read more about our safety policies here: safety
